FKuR: Keeping carbon in the cycle

“Keeping carbon in the cycle” is the motto under which FKuR will be presenting its broad portfolio of sustainable plastics solutions, including bio-based bioplastics, a comprehensive recyclate portfolio and customized recyclate compounds for injection molding and extrusion, at the NRW state joint stand.

Natural & white Terralene® rPP recycled compounds put an end to gray uniformity in recycled productsThe polypropylene (PP)-based hybrid compounds of the Terralene® rPP brand from FKuR combine the ecological advantages of using recyclates and bio-based raw materials with 100% recyclability. Depending on the product grade, the recyclate content from post-consumer waste streams ranges from 30% to 60%. The bio-based share can reach up to 33%. The Terralene® rPP drop-in product range can be used in a wide variety of applications due to its good flowability and the natural or white color of the granules. However, applications are currently still limited to the non-food sector.

Recycled polyolefin compounds based on PCRUnder the brand name Macolen® R, FKuR presents an extended portfolio of recycled materials. It includes both high-quality customer-specific compounds and standard formulations based on post-consumer recyclates. All grades are characterized by low odor and consistently high quality, while at the same time meeting demanding requirements in terms of technical properties. With Macolen® R, FKuR meets the specific requirements of various extrusion and injection molding applications thanks to the high quality of the recycled raw materials used.

„Plastics care for Future“ or how to keep carbon in the cycleCarmen MichelsThe bioeconomy has the potential to provide innovative bio-based materials and packaging solutions, ensuring the sustainability and competitiveness of the European plastics industry while reducing dependence on fossil resources.

„At FKuR, we are convinced that a CO2-neutral economy is not feasible without products made from renewable raw materials. That is why we aim to keep carbon in the cycle for as long as possible with our biobased or compostable granulates and high-quality recyclates in a technologically oriented, innovative and resource-saving way.“ explains Carmen Michels, member of the management board at FKuR and responsible for production and development.
